It's been a good year for tennis! There's growth on all fronts, and Tennis Welcome Centers are the main focus welcoming new players to our sport. We've added new technology tools to help attract new and existing players and to build your business:

The Growing Tennis system on GrowingTennis.com lets you post your information, programs and more on TennisWelcomeCenter.com, USTA.com, Tennis.com, and TennisChannel.com, and others.

Please drop us a line at info@GrowingTennis.com to provide feedback. We welcome it!

James Blake joins the TWC effort

James Blake is the latest pro to put his name behind the effort to get more people playing tennis. His visage will grace 2008 marketing materials. More details on next year's promotions will appear in an upcoming edition of the TWC Update.

FOR KIDS: QuickStart makes learning fun

QuickStart Tennis is a new format to help kids ten and under learn and play the game.  To make it easier for them, we've changed a few things.  The court sizes. The racquet sizes. The balls. The scoring system.  Even the net height. Now any child between the ages of five and ten can start playing immediately.  The QuickStart format makes managing and engaging groups of children easier.  And it's simple to integrate into existing lesson and play programs.

This new instructional approach, formerly called "36/60," has been designed by the USTA in partnership with the teaching associations (USPTA and PTR), and through research by the International Tennis Federation. For more info, visit Partners.QuickStartTennis.com.

LEVER 2000: Thanks for your participation

This summer's 'free lesson' program, sponsored by Lever 2000, was a hit. More than 1,000 facilities offered free lessons to new and returning players. Media coverage and major in-store promotions helped TWCs spread the word on their efforts. To those who participated, thank you for introducing new players to the game and making the campaign a great success.
